Three Things You Should Be Doing to Keep Customers Coming to Your Shop

Keep Customers Coming to Your Shop with These Three Things

Most people are stuck at home and are spending a lot of time on social media or browsing the internet. This is the perfect time to be engaging with them!

Auto body shops are classified as essential businesses!

You may know that bit of information, but do your potential customers? Most people are stuck at home and are spending a lot of time on social media or browsing the internet. This is the perfect time to be engaging with them! And Optima Automotive has a plan to help you.

Here are three things you should be doing right now to keep customers coming to your shop:

  1. Update your website. This should be fairly simple to do. If people are searching for a place to get some body work done and they come to your website, do they know you’re still open? Or does your website say the same thing it said last year? Make it easy for people to see that you’re open by putting some bold text right at the top or a new home page banner.
  2. Update your social media. Again, this should be fairly simple to do. And frankly, if you have social media, this is a must-do! People are all over Facebook just scrolling through their news feeds because they can’t go out and do anything else. Engage with them! Let them know your doors are open. Offer some DIY detailing tips so they have something to do while quarantined, or post fun things.
  3. Optimize your website functionality. Is your site mobile-ready and responsive? Do people have to pinch the screen to zoom in to find any navigation buttons? Everything you want your customer to do should be right in front of them. Your website should be clean and simple and user-friendly. Whether your customer wants to call, start an online photo estimate, find the location or know your hours, it should be all right there.

“Optima Automotive is here to support you as you support your customers as an essential service,” said Mark Claypool, president and CEO of Optima Automotive. “We want to make it certain that your customers know that you are open for business and that they can request an estimate from the safety of their homes. COVID-19 and the economic fallout can be scary, but it’s also a time to shine. Let your customers know that you are there for them when they need you!”
