Symach Delivers New Body Shop to Gemini Group in Australia

New shop is the biggest in Australia and can produce 190 repairs per week (38 per day) using Symach's FixLine formula.

Symach-GeminiSymach announced it has recently delivered a new body shop for the Gemini Group in Wacol in Brisbane, Australia. It is the fifth shop Symach has created for the Gemini Group in the last 24 months.

The new shop is the biggest in Australia and can produce 190 repairs per week (38 per day) using the FixLine formula. The repairs divide the damage into three different processes:

  • One panel – Two FixStations with two multi-skilled technicians for production of eight repairs per day
  • Two to three panels – One FixLine KombiTron for 20 regular repairs per day with 15 technicians
  • One FixLine SprayTron for 10 repairs per day with more than four panels (including non-drivable cars) with 11 technicians

The new shop is equipped with 100 percent Symach products and will work using the SPAP process, which will result in an average key-to-key time of 1.5 days.

“I have been working with the Gemini Group for six years in the United Kingdom and Australia, and this project was one of the biggest yet for Symach,” said Symach CEO Osvaldo Bergaglio. “The request from Andy Hopkins was simple: best-best-best – the best one in design, best one in efficiency and best one in production. After the project was completed, I met Andy in Wacol and he congratulated me because it was 100 percent what he wanted.”
