Abaris Training Resources Executive to Discuss Adhesive Bonding at SAE/ACCE

Abaris Training Resources, Inc., announced that Louis C. (Lou) Dorworth, direct services manager at Abaris Training Resources, will be presenting a special tutorial titled “Adhesive Bonding of CFRP Composites: Practices And Principles” at the 2015 Society of Plastics Engineers/Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition in in Novi, Mich., on Friday, September 11th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Emerald/Amethyst Room of the Diamond Banquet & Conference Center at the Suburban Collection Showplace. Abaris staff will also be available at booth no. 614 during the show.

This interactive tutorial will provide a comprehensive look at common industry practices and basic scientific principles involved in adhesive bonding of CFRP composite materials. The presentation will focus on universal methods and techniques used to achieve durable and consistent adhesive bonds in both the manufacturing and repair of these structures. The tutorial includes an overview of modern surface analysis methods and equipment.

Dorworth has been working with advanced composites since 1978. He is a composite materials and process specialist, with experience in research and development, material and process engineering, manufacturing engineering, tool engineering and fabrication.
