Professional automotive recycler Jonathan Morrow, of M&M Auto Parts, Inc. in Stafford, Va., was announced as secretary of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) at the 72nd Annual Convention & Exposition in Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 7-10. As the newest member to the Executive Committee of the Association, Morrow will help direct the actions of the ARA and strengthen the voice of the professional automotive recycling industry. He will become president of the Association in 2018-2019.

Morrow grew up in the industry and has worked at the family automotive recycling business for the past nine years. In addition to being responsible for all inventory at M&M, Morrow continues to help position M&M Auto Parts as an industry leader, not only in the Virginia area but also on national and international stages. His official title at M&M is auto parts inventory manager and assistant Fredericksburg facility site manager. Also, he is currently president of the Virginia Automotive Recyclers Association, serves as the go-to person at M&M for ARA’s policy needs and is a frequent host to visiting foreign delegations of professional automotive recyclers.

When asked about what he hopes to bring to ARA through his new position, Morrow said, “As the younger guy in the mix, I look forward to learning from past leaders and bringing today’s perspective to help forge a path for professional automotive recyclers going forward.” He also noted that he wants to be transparent and make sure that ARA members know that they are all on the same team. Lastly, he commented that he plans to take advantage of his close proximity to ARA headquarters and to Capitol Hill to support the ARA policy team by sharing his real-time industry experience with policymakers.

Morrow’s parents, Rick and Brenda, fostered his commitment to the industry, which is now shared by his wife Ruthie, and two young sons Jack and Eli. Morrow credits his success and integrity to his faith in God, family and friends. He said he looks forward to using his skills to help the industry move forward.
