AkzoNobel announced it has released a MIXIT web application, which will provide real-time updates for color software – and support searching in Chinese.

The new color web application can be accessed at www.MIXITcloud.com. It’s a quick and easy way for body shops to find the color they want, using a search function that fits all possible keywords, in any language, and even includes suggestions. It’s an ideal tool for customers using any of AkzoNobel’s vehicle refinishes brands, including Sikkens, Lesonal, Wanda, Sikkens Autocoat BT and U-TECH.

“MIXIT is the first software of its kind to provide data updates in real time, with a simple, fast and intelligent search, making it the most accurate color retrieval tool available,” said Remco Maassen van den Brink, AkzoNobel’s Vehicle Refinishes marketing director. “It is also the first to support searching for car makes and model names in the Chinese language.”

As a responsive web application, MIXIT has been designed to work seamlessly on smartphones, tablets and PCs. Since its launch last December, approximately 50 percent of users have accessed the application from a mobile device or tablet.

Another advantage of MIXIT is that it will be continually adapted and improved, ensuring that body shops always have the information they need about paint brands and product lines at their fingertips, wherever they are in the world. The application analyzes user behavior to understand how customers can retrieve and match colors more efficiently. Every three weeks, AkzoNobel uses this information to release an updated version of the application with added and improved functionality.
