Volvo Cars Selects CollisionLink for US Dealer Network

Volvo Cars joins 17 other automotive OEM dealer networks in the U.S. and Canada utilizing CollisionLink to facilitate its parts ordering workflow and manage a nationwide parts marketing program.

OEConnection LLC (OEC) announced that Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA) has selected the CollisionLink online parts ordering and fulfillment solution for its network of U.S. dealers. Already used by thousands of collision repair facilities and franchise dealerships across the country, CollisionLink will help facilitate the Volvo collision parts program, designed to bring incremental OE parts sales to franchise dealers by providing the ability to offer competitive pricing on eligible OE parts against aftermarket parts.

Volvo Cars joins 17 other automotive OEM dealer networks in the U.S. and Canada utilizing CollisionLink to facilitate its parts ordering workflow and manage a nationwide parts marketing program. The Volvo collision parts program, offered exclusively through CollisionLink, provides discounts on select eligible OE parts and will reimburse dealers when the savings are passed along to collision shop customers when converting aftermarket parts to OE parts sales.

“We are pleased to be working with Volvo to provide solutions that support their wholesale parts marketing goals,” said Ron Coill, OEC senior vice president and chief financial officer. “With CollisionLink and our parts marketing technology, Volvo has chosen a parts sourcing and fulfillment solution which gives dealerships greater opportunities to improve efficiency, increase customer service and sell more OE parts.”

Added Scott Doering, vice president, customer service, VCNA, “We chose OEC because their CollisionLink solution is so widely used and integrates well with automaker dealerships and their collision shop customers. Our parts marketing program is designed to maintain the overall parts integrity in our valued customers’ vehicles so they can be assured the parts being replaced on their vehicles match our original manufacturing requirements. Our long-term goal is to maintain our quality commitment to Volvo vehicle owners by creating an environment where dealerships can supply original Volvo collision repair parts in place of other parts available in the market.”

The CollisionLink Volvo collision parts program will be available to the entire U.S. Volvo dealer network beginning in October 2015.
